Virginia Erwin Sirera grew up in the New Orleans area. She graduated from Loyola University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. After working in advertising for a few years, she entered Loyola Law School, graduating in 1992. She was admitted to the Bar in Louisiana in October, 1992.

Virginia is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state courts, and she is admitted to practice in the Eastern and Middle Districts of the United States District Court. She began her legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Judge Robert M. Burns of the 24th Judicial District Court for Jefferson Parish.

A Note from Virginia Sirera.

As I stated above, I have been an attorney for 30 years. I initially underwent the training to become a Louisiana Qualified Family Law Mediator in 2006, and to date I have mediated hundreds of cases successfully.

I continue to update my training every year, and I am proud to add that I recently completed training through the prestigious Harvard Law School’s Executive Education “Program on Negotiation”. I have been court-appointed to mediate cases, and I am frequently called on by colleagues to mediate high-conflict cases.

In 2021, I made the decision to focus exclusively on Mediation and helping people to reach their own agreements regarding all issues ancillary to divorce and family break-ups. It is so rewarding to help people through a very difficult time and to reach conclusions that work best for their particular family…in a way that encourages healthy co-parenting relationships for years to come, with less stress, money, and time. I would be honored to help you and your former partner do the same.
